Born and raised in Washington state, Palmer is an award-winning writer / director / producer/ production designer.  Her producing credits include TURNOVER (written by Palmer and Laree' Griffith), PASSAGE (written by Palmer and Mark Craig), CAT DEXX: INKOSI (written by Deon van Rooyen), MY NAME IS LAMAR (written by Dale E. Turner), SIENNA'S CHOICE (written by and starring Janel Tanna, multiple award wins),  LAST CALL AT MURRAY’S (written by Brian Beatty and Betsy Morris, festival nominated film releasing 2016),  CARBON DATING (written by Amanda Serra, multiple Award-Winning Web-series), OUR FATHER (multiple award winning short 2015), HALLOWEEN PARTY (2013 Oscar Contender for Best Song, Winner Best Soundtrack Laughlin Int’l Film Fest ’12), THE WEDDING VIDEO (Tacoma Film Fest ’07, Valley Film Fest ’07), and LOOK @ ME.

 

She wrote/directed TURNOVER (Paul Guilfoyle, Carlos Carrasco, Julia Silverman), PASSAGE (Julia Parker, Ellen Gerstein), HALLOWEEN PARTY, and OUR FATHER (starring Michael Gross and Michael Worth).  Turnover is set to release in theaters in 2020 and all other films have won numerous awards. 

 

Linda's recent feature, TURNOVER boasted four original songs ('Little Bit of This', 'This is Your Day', 'Bon Appetit', 'My Silver Lining is Overdue') from the film on the 2020 Best Original Song contender list and she consulted another indie film, 'The Holy Fail' who also had four of their songs on the same list.  Her first film, HALLOWEEN PARTY, achieved this with original song, 'Voodoo' which was an Oscar contender in 2013.

 

Linda is currently developing the CAT DEXX franchise (with partners Deon van Rooyen and Lena Pousette), including the TV Series, WILD CAT.  She is in post production on the documentary DIABETES AND ME: ALONE IN THE CROWD, which she co-directed/co-produced with her production partner Florence Regina.

 

She is the founder of Runaway Productions, a commercial and feature film production company.  The company was formed when she wrote, directed and produced a campaign of public service announcements for ‘Children of the Night’, an organization that rescues children from the street and prostitution.  That campaign ran in the Los Angeles market for five years.  She is also the founder of the marketing firm, Alter Ego Agency.

 

As well as writing, directing and producing, Palmer also production designs for commercials, TV and film. She is set to production design the feature thriller, OCTOBER 30TH for director Michael Yurinko, in 2021. 

 

Linda is currently a Screenwriting U Master Class student, studied design and promotion at FIDM, television and radio production at Long Beach City College, film production and screenwriting at UCLA and completed the 2 day Film School, 35mm Shoot and Film Finance programs at HFI.  She's a member of the Television Academy, Film Independent and resides in Long Beach, CA.
